: Unlike previous games' round-based turns, characters now act individually based on their Speed stat , which is influenced by their equipped job and equipment weight. The Job System

: You can use the "Brave" command even with 0 BP to take multiple actions immediately, but this sends your BP into the negatives, leaving the character unable to act for several turns until the debt is cleared.

The game features (classes) unlocked by obtaining "Asterisks" from bosses.

The defining feature is the risk-reward "Brave and Default" system that dictates the flow of battle.
