Through an intersectional lens, this paper has explored how Black women have navigated and subverted dominant gaze structures in contemporary culture. By examining the historical context of Ebony magazine, the power of gaze, and case studies in contemporary culture, this paper has demonstrated the significance of "Ebony Ayes" as a framework for understanding Black women's experiences and representations.
