The story begins with Mietek losing his sight as a young child due to untreated glaucoma. Sent to a center for the blind in Laski, he discovers music as a way to "see" and interact with the world. While he begins as a brilliant classical pianist, his discovery of jazz sets him on a path to becoming one of Poland's most enigmatic and talented musicians. Despite his professional success, Kosz struggled with deep isolation and personal demons, leading to his tragic death at the age of 29 .
